Rolex watch band repair and revision
Rolex watch band repair and revision
The essential APK for your Rolex watch band
Does your Rolex band have too much play, are the links hanging loose, or does the band no longer feel sturdy? Daily use wears down the connection points between the links — this is the well-known “stretch” that many Rolex owners experience.
At Horloge-reviseren.nl, we repair and revise Rolex watch bands, both the Jubilee, the Oyster, and the President band. We aim to maintain the original strength, fit, and appearance of the band as much as possible.
Rates for Rolex band revision
| Type of Rolex watch band | Rate |
|---|---|
| Jubilee band revision | from €595 |
| Oyster band revision | from €595 |
| President band revision | from €1,795 |
The final price depends on wear, material, missing parts, and any damage to the clasp. Send clear photos of the band for a non-binding assessment and quote.

Replace or revise your Rolex band? What is often smarter
Many people search for “Rolex band replacement” when their strap becomes loose or worn out. Replacing it with a completely new original Rolex strap can often be expensive and not always necessary.
In most cases, the cause is simple: the pins between the links are worn out, causing play (“stretch”). This can be repaired with a revision, without having to trade in the original strap — with its own wear pattern and patina — for a new one.
Replacement only becomes the better option when:
- there are missing links that are no longer available separately;
- the strap is irreparably damaged (for example, due to a break in the clasp);
- you deliberately want a different type or size of strap.
Are you in doubt? Send photos of your strap, and we will honestly indicate whether a revision is sufficient or if replacement is wiser.
What happens during a Rolex strap revision?
During a strap revision, the watch strap is carefully checked for wear, play, and damage. The connection points between the links receive special attention.
Depending on the condition of the strap, we can:
- reduce excessive play and stretch;
- repair worn connections;
- repair damaged or loose links;
- improve the alignment of the strap;
- check and adjust the clasp;
- professionally clean the strap;
- restore the finish in consultation.
The goal is not to unnecessarily replace the strap, but to preserve your original Rolex watch strap as responsibly as possible.
When is repair necessary?
Have your Rolex bracelet checked when:
- the bracelet visibly droops;
- there is a lot of space between the links;
- the bracelet is uneven or crooked;
- links feel loose or unstable;
- the clasp does not function properly;
- a link or connection is damaged;
- you are worried that the bracelet will wear out or break further.
By intervening in a timely manner, further wear or loss of components can often be prevented.

Rolex Jubilee watch band
The Rolex Jubilee is one of the most recognizable watch bands in the world: five narrow, stacked rows of links give the band a fine, elegant appearance. The band comes standard with an Oysterclasp closure for extra security while wearing.
Due to the many small links and pins, the Jubilee band is sensitive to stretching: the more connection points, the sooner play arises. If you notice that the band is looser than before or that links are knocking against each other? Then a revision is usually the solution, without losing the original band.
Rolex Oyster watch band
The Rolex Oyster band is the more robust alternative: wider, solid links that are fastened together with clamps, often in stainless steel or a combination with gold. The locking system of the closure ensures that the band stays firmly on the wrist, even during active use.
Due to the heavier construction, an Oyster band generally wears out slower than a Jubilee, but after years of wearing, play can also develop in the link connections here. We restore this without replacing the original links, unless it is really necessary.
Rolex President watch band
The President bracelet is the most exclusive Rolex bracelet: three wide, semi-circular links per segment, typically made of precious metal (gold or platinum) and historically associated with models like the Day-Date. The semi-circular links give the bracelet its characteristic streamlined look.
Because the President bracelet is almost always made of precious metal, servicing it requires extra craftsmanship: the softer alloy wears differently than steel and is more susceptible to scratches if handled carelessly. We service President bracelets with the same care we would give to the watch itself — including restoring play in the link connections and readjusting the clasp.
