You can contact us for a wide range of activities for your timepiece. We are happy to highlight a number of them, because we revise a very large scale of watches and timepieces. We specialize in Rolex, Breitling, Omega and Tag Heuer. But note there are many watches where the timepiece in the watch is the same as that of major brands. Overhauling a watch
Today, a watch has a special meaning for many. It is not only a practical instrument to read the time, but also a beautiful piece of jewelry that adorns the wrist. Like other precious jewelry, you cherish your watch. After all, you want to be able to enjoy it for a long time. You always put your watch down carefully, avoiding the glass being damaged. You regularly clean the outside and ensure that the watch strap remains in good condition. But superficial maintenance alone is not enough. The inside of your watch also needs regular attention. It is therefore essential to have your watch overhauled. Read below which activities we perform when overhauling your watch
Oil
To make the caliber, the timepiece, turn properly, oil is an indispensable thing. But few people know that the oil in a watch needs to be replaced after about four years. “Old” oil ensures that your watch no longer indicates the correct time, because it starts to run slower as the oil gets older. Especially if you are someone who is dependent on a tight time schedule, this is very annoying. The oiling of the timepiece is therefore a standard part of watch overhaul.
Control of the gaskets
Chances are that your watch claims to be waterproof. However, a watch has a hard time every day. One of the things that your watch also has to deal with are temperature fluctuations. These temperature fluctuations, often in combination with the reduced effect of the oil in the timepiece, ensure that the gaskets in your watch dry out. These gaskets are important with regard to the water resistance of your watch. Incidentally, it is advisable to be well informed about what the brand means by watertightness.
Adjusting the caliber
Almost everything is subject to wear and therefore also the caliber of your watch. Due to wear, the timepiece may not run as well as before. Adjusting the timepiece also falls under the work of Overhauling. Broken parts are immediately replaced, if possible of course.
Quartz watches
If you have a quartz watch overhauled, the battery change and cleaning of the cabinet also fall under the work. In addition, the tire starter inspection takes place. If necessary, this will be replaced, which also applies to the glass of your watch.
